Dr. Rosemary is the owner and Dentist of Aglow Dental Studio located in Reston, Va.  She studied Dentistry in Nigeria and then again here in the U.S., a wife and mother of a lovely young boy.  She opened up her practice during the craziest time of January 2020 right before we were shut down from the Covid-19 pandemic.  Despite the stressful times she managed to prevail all the odds and build her practice building out a new suite for her space and build her patient volume.  She practices comprehensive dentistry, gives some of her proceeds to 2 different charities and is a believer in getting on more of a personal level with her patients to get them to trust her and her work.  She takes time with her patients to make them feel comfortable and more importantly to understand what preventative medicine is for good dental hygiene is.  If you do not already have a dentist or are thinking to change and live in NOVA I highly recommend you try Dr. Rosemary.

March is Sleep Awareness Month

Sleep is one of the 3 pillars of Health and Wellness. The other two pillars being Nutrition and Exercise or Movement.  When one or more these pillars are either neglected or out of balance it causes many malfunctions in our minds and bodies.

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation, also known as yogic sleep, or effortless relaxation is usually practiced lying down with the teacher guiding the session.

The practice draws our attention inwards and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, or our body finds its natural state of equilibrium, homeostasis. The breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. As we rest here, we can turn our attention easily and effortlessly to the very nature of awareness and consciousness. Yoga Nidra takes us effortlessly into a state of harmonious restful being. From here we can be healed, restored and awakened to our deepest, all knowing, all welcoming self.

Follow Me Friday - Success Chain

Being consistent with a tiny change each day will only move your forward to see a change in your life instead of being stuck in the same space.

The last few weeks I have been trying to incorporate an earlier bedtime. Rather than saying to myself that I need to be in bed, lights out and eyes shut by a certain time, I have created a routine to get in bed just 30 minutes earlier than my normal 1130 to midnight time. By creating that one small change I found myself finally getting to my goal bedtime of 930PM! Just 30 minute increments each week got me there and whoa I feel amazing in the morning!
