David Wolfe is a Certified High-Performance coach and Food Addiction Coach!

David received his master’s in clinical nutrition from The Ohio State University in 2012 and worked as a registered dietitian for ten years in Critical Care, Bariatric Surgery and elderly care.

Once an artisan bread maker and registered dietitian, David received his food addiction training at INFACT in 2017, and since that time has been an understudy to former podcast guest Bitten Jonnson, who we hosted back on episode 477 of our show!

David is currently a faculty member for the Bitten Holistic Medicine for Addiction Program. David had his own battles with sugar and grain addiction, and has identified his other outlets namely coffee, screens, alcohol and more.

Jen Winkler is a national board-certified health and wellness coach, and functional blood chemistry specialist, based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Her credentials are- Primal Health Master Coach through Primal Health Institute (PHMC), Functional Blood Chemistry Specialist (FBCS), Medical Practices Specialist (CMP) and Hormone Health Coach.

Jen’s goal is to help exhausted women who struggle with blood sugar crashes, insulin resistance, PCOS, PMS, and hormonal imbalances. She helps women navigate through all the “noise” in the health and wellness space and learn and adopt the right diet and lifestyle for each individual woman, her health concerns, and what works for her lifestyle and budget. Frank King is a Suicide Prevention Speaker, has been a writer for The Tonight Show for 20 years and has been a speaker and comedian for 38 years. He’s shared the stage with comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, Dr. Ken Jung, Ellen DeGeneres, Dennis Miller, and Bill Hicks, as well as entertainers, Lou Rawls, The Beach Boys, Randy Travis, and Nancy Wilson, among others.

His speaking on Suicide Prevention is informed by his lifetime battle with Depression and Suicidality, and he has turned that long dark journey of the soul into 12 TEDx Talks, sharing his lifesaving insights with colleges, corporations, and associations.

On top of all of that, he has survived 2 aortic valve replacements, a double bypass, a heart attack, and losing to a puppet on the original Star Search and has lived to joke about it all.

Frank started body building in his 60’s while he has been intermittent fasting and eating a ketogenic diet, and he is definitely in better shape than he was in his 50's!

Professor Bart Kay is a former senior lecturer in cardiovascular and respiratory physiology, exercise physiology, nutrition, research methods, and statistics. Professor Kay has published a number of peer reviewed research and review articles, as well as book chapters.

Professor Kay has successfully taught aspects of physiology, anatomy, biochemistry, metabolism/nutrition, and research design/statistics since 2001, both in the UK and in Australasia. He has consulted regarding optimizing physical performance to The New Zealand All Blacks, the National Rugby League (NRL) Referees Association, The Royal Australian Defense Force, and The Royal New Zealand Army.

Professor Kay has a number of publications in the areas of exercise physiology, biochemistry, metabolism, nutrition, statistics, and physiological performance modelling.

Dr. Vyvyane Loh is the host of the amazing VLMD Rounds Podcast, and today we’ll be focusing on her recent episode, titled “Reviewing Dayspring and Attia”.

Dr. Vyvyane Loh is board-certified in Obesity Medicine and Internal Medicine. She is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association and The Obesity Society.

She was the recipient of the Bunting/Radcliffe Fellowship in Fiction in 2006, a Guggenheim Fellow in Fiction in 2008, and shortlisted for the 2005 international IMPAC Award in Literature. Her diverse skills support her commitment to celebrating the full range of our humanity in an increasingly technological and disembodied world through art and the healing sciences.

Along her professional journey, she realized that much of the "healthcare" industry in which she was trained is, in reality, a "sickcare" industry, and she is striving to change the paradigm of weight loss and obesity!

Dr. Loh takes her role as doctor (from the Latin docere, to teach) and physician (from the Greek physis, nature) literally: her services and strengths are in teaching and restoring bodies to nature, acknowledging that they are indeed "fearfully and wonderfully made."

She was named for life itself, that mysterious cycle of energy flow that is death and rebirth. Her oath is to always serve and nurture sacred Bios and honor the Whole, which is our home.

Vic Basmadjian is an advocate of low carbohydrate and ketogenic diets after recovering his own poor health. At 55, he was obese, weighing in at almost 300 lbs., and had high blood pressure and sleep apnea. Over the past few decades, Vic had repeatedly attempted to lose weight through calorie restriction, and although he had often lost significant amounts, he had never been able to sustain the weight loss.

It finally occurred to him that cutting out refined carbs- such as rice, potato, and pasta- seemed to help with his weight loss efforts. Vic used the ketogenic diet to sustainably lose one hundred pounds, while improving his health and quality of life, and he has now turned much of his attention to helping others.

In other exciting news, since we last spoke in 2022, Vic has also become an accredited metabolic health practitioner through the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners, and a certified health coach through Dr. Tro’s Medical Weight loss & Direct Primary Care.
