The Enneagram helps us understand WHY our time and energy focus is the way it is.

Humans need future, present & past focus of energy- but we are unbalanced, ( and lean into one focus), until we become self-aware.

Noticing what energy focus is easiest for you to access or what is hard to access is another layer of clarity.

3,7,8 Future-Focused

  • Strongest at the start; can see the end.
  • Find it hard to do the work in the middle  
  • Find it hard to finish and review 


4,5,9 Past-Focused

  • Strongest at finishing 
  • Starting is the hardest part-momentum needs to build 
  • Very good at the review at the end 


1,2,6 Present Focused

  • Strongest in the middle 
  • Can execute once a plan is in place, but often find it hard to get started 
  •  Find it hard to finish and review

Energy management is important because not all hours of the day are of the same value. Two o'clock in the morning is not high energy time for most people. 

Not only do we have different amounts of energy, but we also have different energy on different days based on the energy we used the day before.

When you begin to track your energy,  it turns out it's not exactly the same every day. 
For the next few weeks, notice your mental, physical, and emotional energy and name it with a color ( green=high energy, yellow=avergage, and red=low ).

In general, most people have three to five high-energy hours a day.], what is your energy pattern?

Live A Vibrant Life. Choose to invest your energy into your purpose.
