Several million people, myself included, I fell in love with today's podcast guest around the same time - when a poem he wrote and published to his Facebook page went viral. It began, "my brain and heart divorced a decade ago over who was to blame about how big of a mess I have become.." and we could all relate.

This father of three and stand-up comic had turned to writing some years earlier to try and sort out the tsunami of anxious thoughts that threatened to overtake him and carry him out into a sea of defeat. At the tender age of 9, Kelly Rowland formed a musical group with her friends that in a few year would be known the world-over as "Destiny's Child". That was in 1990, and Kelly is all grown up now with a successful solo career in music, fashion, acting, directing/producing, and recently, writing. Her children's book, "Always With You, Always With Me" was just released.

She's also a loving partner to her husband, a doting mamma of two young boys, and active in numerous causes that aim to make life better for her community and the world. Recently she performed at the American Heart Association's Red Dress Collection Concert.
