Jewel talks about growing up in the wilderness in Alaska and how nature taught her how to cope with growing depression & isolation. Her family dynamic set the tone for her career as a singer, and she talks about how abuse finally led her into therapy. Jewel also details some difficult decisions she had to make along her road to success, to maintain her vision and grow a career on her own terms.
