Our special guest is Dr. Kristen Willeumier, Ph.D., the Director of Research for the Amen Clinics, Inc.  She leads the research on all clinical studies performed at the Amen Clinics across a variety of topics including SPECT imaging in clinical practice, traumatic brain injury, suicide, obesity, gender differences in brain function, brain rehabilitation, clinical outcomes and nutraceuticals.  Dr.Willeumier has numerous publications in the field of neuroscience, is professionally associated with the Society for Neuroscience and has given presentations at national and international neuroscience meetings.  Dr. Willeumier received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Boston College, her Masters in Physiological Science and Neurobiology from UCLA, her Ph.D. in Neurobiology from UCLA, and completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neurology from Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. She has published journal articles in notable neuroscience publications including the Journal of Neuroscience and has continues to publish within notable Nature journals including Nature Obesity and Nature Translational Psychiatry. 
 
We'll be talking with her about how brain SPECT imaging can help reverse brain injury.  Her motto: "It's never too late".
