Back Stage Pass with GettysburgGerry

Good friend and wonderful singer/song writer Kenny P will be joining this evening. We met at Launch 2015 and immediatley hit it off. I think you will enjoy not only his music, but the man himself. I will let his words describe himself. 

 

I can honestly say that I am not your Average musician. Although, as a musician, I fall into a certain breed. As a singer/songwriter I have learned to work mostly with the talent that surrounds me, to bring about a new experience to the people who Enjoy what we create. 

The Pale Barn Ghosts, purveyors of fine lyrics, and haunting melodies joins Gerry to discuss, writing, performing, and a bit of history for this South Central Pa band. These guys have been a fixture in the local music scene, consistently cranking out great music and pushing the limits in thier writing.  We will be talking about their new CD "So Pale" and listening to a track or two.....be sure and join us. I consider this band one of the best singer song writer bands in the South Central Pa area....

Gettysburg Gerry kicks off his new show with the one and only Mountain Ride. Mountain Ride is a Pennsylvania bluegrass band fancying both progressive and traditional facets.  The band is composed of Eric Avey (guitar and vocals), Drew Jones (mandolin and vocals), Scott Matlock (fiddle and vocals), Corey Woodcock (banjo), and Kate Avey (bass and vocals). Mountain Ride was forged in the Great Valley of south-central Pennsylvania, for the simple need to play bluegrass.  For these five friends, bluegrass is a necessity.  Hailing from the new generation of bluegrassers, they tend to bring a unique flair to the traditional, and a progressive twist to the original.With years of experience under their straps and strings, they have found something new, something that can only be described as Mountain Ride.  

Vanity Metrics is the discussion topic this evening. Join host Gettysburg Gerry and co host Brooke Ballard as they discuss the pros and cons, yeah's and nay's of Vanity Metrics. Many social media professionals preach that folowers, likes and friends are not valid indicators of social engagement, yet how many look at those very same metrics when deciding to work with a particular company, or even to follow back.

This week the Glass Geye's (Gettysburg Gerry, Cassius Wright, and Bryan Foster talk with Adam Winkle from EDU Glasses. The Glass guys are always looking for innovative ways that Google Glass is being used in our communities, and our society as a whole. EDU Glasses takes Glass into the classroom and beyond. With all the talk about Glass being "dead" from those that have no clue or insight, it will be a wonderful introductin into the world Glass in Education.
