CHILD HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR, RAISED CATHOLIC, REFLECTS ON The Nostra Aetate

59m · Published 22 Oct 17:00
Please join host Frankie Picasso on Thursday, October 22nd at 1:00 pm EST as she goes on a Mission Unstoppable with guest Lucia Weitzman a child survivor of the holocaust.

As Hitlers armies began to gather up the Polish Jews, Lucia’s parents feared for her safety and rightly so. In their attempt to escape, they decided it best to leave Lucia behind, hidden in plain site. They gave her to a childless Polish Catholic couple to raise as their own, always hoping that they might meet again after the war, but Poland was hardest hit by the Nazis. There were no survivors left behind.

Lucia was born in Bochnia, Poland in 1940. Her Jewish parents perished in the Holocaust and Lucia was raised in the Catholic Church by her adopted parents the Swiateks. Lucia loved the church and had deep and spiritual faith. When she learned that she too was a Jew, she really had no idea what that meant, beyond knowing that everyone hated the Jews. As she grew older, Lucia began suffering anti semitism as a lone Jew in Bochnia, and eventually concluded that she would never be able to marry or have children if she stayed. After escaping detention by Communist authorities in 1961, she immigrated to the United States and married Herman Weitzman, a Holocaust survivor and businessman raised in a traditional Jewish family

Lucia’s life has been documented in her new book The Rose Temple , written by her son Mitchell, which tells an incredible tale of survival, loss, and a love for God that would spur a spiritual search  across the world , not once but several times as she sought answers to life’s most pressing questions.

Flight Plan- teaching Boys what it Means to be a Man

1h 1m · Published 15 Dec 01:00
Please join the Unstoppable Frankie Picasso this week when my guest is Braxton Brady, co author of " "Flight Plan", which was natural evolution of an original program and curriculum that authors Braxton Brady and Lee Burns offered to the 630 boys who attend Presbyterian Day School (PDS) in Memphis, Tennessee. The program is called Building Boys, Making Men,

Teenage boys are faced with navigating the turbulent journey to manhood, often without an inkling of what that really means or any direction of how to get there. With their book, Flight Plan: Your Mission to Become a Man, Braxton and Brady offer boys and young men a definition and vision of manhood that can help them to make wise choices during their teenage years and beyond. The book frankly and authentically discusses a number of issues they will face and it teaches boys a definition of a Godly manhood and it focuses on the question of what it means to be a man and includes in depth teaching on many of the changes, challenges, and temptations they will be facing as teenagers.

How Much More Longer" are you going to wait to be YOU?

1h 0m · Published 01 Dec 01:00
Please join me, the Unstoppable Frankie Picasso as we go on another Mission Unstoppable. This week my guest is Steve Elder. Steve is known as a speaker, wealth adviser, professional coach, husband, and father, who often counsels people about their life goals. Today, Steve can add Author to that laundry list of ‘who’ he is, and as inspiring book it is too.
Steve’s book is called ‘ How Much More Longer’ the title taken from an expression his impatient son would ask while taking trips in the family car, but today, that saying has much more relevance for all of us as Steve asks, "when will you start living your passion and truth?"

Steve’s book is filled with anecdotes and life lessons that challenge us to step up to the plate to become and live as our authentic selves. How Much More Longer are you going to live in Pain? The “PAIN” of being YOU?

. Steve know all about pain. His painful experiences—a near-death car crash and later a bankruptcy—led him to ask hard questions about his life’s purpose: What is it that you want? And how much longer will you wait to honestly answer that question? With a passion born of deep trauma and tough choices, How Much More Longer will convince you that the time to decide how to live is now.
